About the event
A town hall style meeting that brings the community together to have parents helping parents have the uncomfortable conversation about suicide prevention. Community leaders will share their unique views about suicide and how it impacts the community as a whole. Keynote speakers will share their emotional stories of suicide loss in hopes of preventing other parents having to an experience like themselves. The meeting will give the opportunity to the audience members to have a safe environment to ask their questions or for more informative ways to have a conversation about suicide with their children. Parents are encouraged to bring their child(ren).
Tables for Mental Health Advocates will be open before and after the meeting for audience members to visit.
Pizza and refreshments will be served at 5:30 to help parents not to have to rush around before the meeting.
